June 17, 2010 FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT OF HEARTLAND ANGLERS
NOT LONG AGO I ALLOWED A GREAT INJUSTIC TO HAPPEN. WE HAD A COUPLE OF PEOPLE THAT SAID THEY SAW TWO OF OUR MEMBERS CHEATING TO WIN A TOURNAMENT. AFTER OUR STATE DIRECTOR DOUG PRESSLEY MADE SOME CALLS I DECIDED THAT WE WOULD GIVE THESE TWO ANGLERS A CHOICE BETWEEN HAVING A THIRD PARTY RIDE ALONG WITH THEM OR THEY COULD TAKE A POLYGRAPH TEST. THEY INSISTED THAT WE DO THE POLYGRAPH TEST. IN THEIR WORDS LET”S DO IT AND GET IT OVER WITH, SO WE CAN PUT THIS BEHIND US AND FISH. WE HAD THE POLYGRAPH TEST DONE AT BLOUNT COUNTY JUSTIC CENTER. THE RESULTS WERE VERY PLEASING AS THE LT. THAT GAVE THE TEST SAID THAT THE CHANCE THAT THEY HAD TRIED TO LIE WAS ABOUT 0.20 % I TAKE THAT ANYDAY. SO THIS LETTER IS TO LET THOSE THAT EVER THOUGHT THAT DAVID KELLY OR DREW NEWELL WAS NOT CHEATING AT ANY THING, MAYBE YOU ARE THE ONES THAT NEED TO BE LOOKED AT. NOW REMEMBER IN THE FUTURE IF YOU SEE SOMEONE IN VIOLATION OF A RULE, BE WILLING TO STAND UP AND TELL THAT PERSON FACE TO FACE WHAT YOU SAW THEM DO. WE WILL ALWAYS DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO KEEP OUR TRAIL CLEAN AND HONEST FOR ALL OF OUR MEMBERS TO ENJOY. PRES, HEARTLAND ANGLERS BILL BURTON

Hope all of you are dreaming of fish...and are fishing with Heartland Anglers on Saturday, April 17th!
While you all are on the water...patiently catching fish...I will be working on posting the photos I have received to date from each division. My target date is to have all of these completed for all divisions by mid week (04/20) if not before. Please remember when forwarding your photos, label with your division, any names if possible & what tournament the photos were taken at. I have several large files of pictures that I have no clue where they belong, so they will be added last after I research where they came from and when.
Once again, I appreciate all of your patience as we work to improve YOUR SITE! Let me know if there is anything else that you would like to see.
Additionally, we are working to add the Pay Back Charts, Cost for Each Division (as some differ). We hope to be able to have the items you want to see at your fingertips...so please continue to provide feedback.

Sorry for the mess, ya'll! I am working to get the individual division pages with all of the history for 2010 published. Some of the radio buttons are 'out of place' and I am working on correcting that. It's a little more complicated than just deleting or relocating...but I am trying to make it very fisherman/fishergal friendly.
Please be as patient with me as you are trying to catch that 'big one'! I promise you...I've not been fishin'!

Hope everyone is enjoying that bright thing in the sky...that is putting off a little warmth! Hopefully, we will see a big difference in water temperatures this weekend!
I have been 'under the boat' this week with the flu...but hoping that I am on the mend. I am currently working on individual division pages, as well as posting photos from 2010 Tournaments. I appreciate your patience...and know that I am as eager as you all are to have this work published.

What Needs to Change??

I am currently working on updating the photos & tournament standings!
I am finding that many of you are 'rating' the site...and that's great! Good, Bad or Ugly...I want to know what you think!
If you cannot 'rate' the site as 'good'...and gave it a 'fair' or 'needs improvement' rating, please add your comment to the Blog, to let us know what we can do to improve this Site. We want to meet your expectations, but please keep in mind that we won't always be able to please everyone:-) Although, we will certainly give'r a good whirl!

Let me know what kind of information you want to see published on the Site. I am still working on posting the archive files from the Original Site...hopefully...by this weekend I can have them ready.
